Writing a year-in-review has been a longstanding ritual of mine as it is a way for me to formally bid farewell to the old before welcoming the new year afresh.
For many reasons, 2023 hit differently. In a lot of ways, I’m still caught up in the continuous replay of events that the year had brought. Trying to process, reflect, sum up and put everything that had happened last year into words has proved incredibly difficult and emotionally taxing. Hence why I’m only posting it now in April of 2024.
